About Us
Texas Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedical Education
Texas Nonprofit Educational Organization advancing early access to biotechnology and biomedical science
Inspiring the next generation of scientists, physicians & innovators
We provide biomedical research experiences, training in cutting-edge biomedical technologies, and medical career exploration and science communication development for elementary, middle school, and high school students.
We design and deliver hands-on learning experiences, exposure to cutting-edge biomedical technologies, and structured opportunities for science communication and career exploration—helping students build confidence, curiosity, and preparation for future pathways in science and medicine.
Our programs also integrate leadership development and youth voice, empowering students to combine their biomedical knowledge with real-world impact through civic engagement and community service.
Our Approach
Our programs are grounded in evidence-based educational practices developed through years of experience in academic biomedical research and STEMM education. BioMedEdu emphasizes authentic learning, mentorship, and thoughtful program design to support students at different stages of their development.
Mentors
Students learn from scientists, physicians, educators, and graduate or medical student mentors from leading research and clinical environments, including the Texas Medical Center and global partners.
